Jason Hirt is a drummer, songwriter, and music educator based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Jason began playing drums at age six in his hometown of Prior Lake, MN, and later studied at McNally Smith College of Music in Saint Paul, focusing on rock, jazz, and R&B. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Business from Full Sail University. Jason has toured extensively throughout North America, Europe, and the UK, most notably as the drummer for post-black metal band Ghost Bath (Nuclear Blast Entertainment). In 2017, Jason made his international radio debut with Ghost Bath’s single “Ambrosial” being featured on BBC Radio 1’s Rock Show with Daniel P. Carter. Jason’s dynamic live presence and extensive experience as a studio drummer have earned him collaborations with top-tier producers and engineers including Brandon Buttner (Jonas Brothers, Halsey), Craig Owens (Chiodos, D.R.U.G.S.), and Josh Schroeder (Lorna Shore, The Plot In You). In 2024, Jason launched his own production studio in the Twin Cities metro area, where he provides remote drum tracking, private instruction, and full-scale music production services.
