Biography
Ivan was born on September 16th in Monterrey When he was younger, he studied graphic design but then he realized music was his real passion. He started with private lessons and then he proceeded with a career as a percussionist but he didn’t had the chance to finish it. Despite, he took lessons with teachers with rename as Horacio “el negro” Hernandez, Enildo Rasua, Antonio Sanchez, and others. He has participated in National and international Festivals in countries like Cuba, South Korea, Colombia, United States and México, he has been in bands like Inspector, La danzonera, has been the contemporary dancer’s accompany of Christine Dakin, Steve Rooks, Jaime Blanc and Eva Pardave and has shared stage with bands he has always admired. Nowadays he is a teacher in Escuela superior de música y Danza de Monterrey and the drummer in El gran silencio. With the goal in his mind of continue learning something new and share his knowledge and his love for this instruments, he works with effort day by day.
