Biography

Hale Naphtha (Ex-Cobra Spell) is a spanish metal artist known for her expressive and creative musicianship. As both a drummer and vocalist, she brings a rare versatility to the metal world. Hale began her musical journey early, singing in rock bands from the age of 12, at 15, she discovered her other passion, the drums. Over the years, she has toured extensively across Europe, Latin America, and the UK, performing in some of the most iconic venues and appearing on bills sharing the lineup with bands such as Europe, Doro, Yngwie Malmsteen, Judas Priest, Stratovarius, Thundermother (including a two-month tour), Hammerfall, Overkill or Tarja Turunen. These experiences have shaped her into a seasoned and versatile live performer. As part of her commitment to music, Hale also works as a drum instructor, sharing her knowledge through private lessons. In addition, she is an active session musician. Beyond her band work, Hale has cultivated a growing online presence. Her content includes drum and vocal cover performances -whether singing, drumming, or doing both simultaneously- as well as live show footage.

    Sound character: Very bright, glassy, slightly dry, cutting, metallic. Fairly narrow range, clean mix. Somewhat heavy, but controllable feel. Clear, glassy ping over bell-like wash. Extremely cutting, loud bell with dark undertone. Extraordinary ride, suited particularly for defined playing on the bell in various musical styles. Developed in co-operation with Brazilian's Top Heavy Metal drummer Aquiles Priester.
