Biography
Born in 1971, Frank studied drums at the Maastricht Conservatory and at the Drummers Collective in New York. In 2002 he completed his music studies with a double diploma. As a freelance musician and instrumental teacher, he is now responsible for numerous projects. In addition to teaching, he plays in various jazz and pop bands and has taken part in TV, CD and radio productions in Germany and the Netherlands. Performances and tours have taken him to many European countries and concert halls. His book Schlagzeug Lernen was published by LEU-Verlag at the end of 2012 and established itself on the German sheet music market within a year. In 2013 Frank was nominated for the German Blues Award. To date, five other Drumbooks have been published by LEU-Verlag. They are among the publisher's most successful Drumbooks and are now known beyond national borders. From 2011 to 2019 he was the drummer of the Cologne Blues Club. He toured Germany and neighboring countries with the club. In 2017 he founded the folk pop band Westsee together with Mike Pelzer, singer of the legendary indie band M. Walking On The Water, with whom he released two CDs.
