Biography
„He is Germany’s first Drummer-Fitness-Coach. With his book and the clinics „Fit for Drums“ the drummer and sports teacher Florian Fochs has developed a unique concept, which boosts the correct posture, movement, endurance and fitness and therefore physical well-being – and as a cosequence important playful aspects like groove and timing.“ (Sticks 10/2014) Florian studied sports science. With his Fit for Drums project Florian has developed a unique concept, that takes another side of drumming into account. With the right physical conditions, not only the ability to play is improved, but with the right posture and sitting position, good movements or the right coordination skills, stress and discomfort can be reduced and playing is more economical and relaxed. With this concept Florian is not only a sought-after lecturer at workshops, but has also made a name for himself as a long-standing author for drum magazines (Sticks, DrumHeads).
