Biography

Ed Aguiar was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. At the age of nine, he began playing the trumpet and trombone. His musical abilities opened the door for him to tour with a big band. Soon after, he discovered an affinity for the drums, and within a short time was touring with musicians of many different genres. Later, he moved to London, UK, where he continued to perform at various venues. After seven years, he realized his dream of moving to the U.S., where he has since become a U.S. citizen. He graduated from the Musicians Institute (M.I.) in Hollywood, California, and continues to be inspired by his diverse background. His strengths lie in his meticulous timing, flexibility, being a quick study and his improvisational skills. In the past few years Ed has been traveling oversees to South America and Europe to perform, record with different artists, and to teach clinics. In 2015, he performed on Latin America’s biggest drum show thus far (Bateras 100% Brazil). In July 2015, he released his first album called "My Universe". In this album, he shares his ability to write music. The album is available on all digital channels. Ed loves playing all styles of music and enjoys working as a session musician and clinician.
