Biography

Dino Verdade started playing drums in 1985 in Brasília, there he played and recorded with several original bands, accompanied different local artists and participated in the Claudio Santoro Symphonic Percussion Group. In 1992 he opened his school Bateras Beat Music School which today has 45 units distributed mostly in Brazil and Italy with representations in the USA and China. In 1995 he went to study music in the USA and graduated from the Miami Percussion Institute. There he participated in masterclasses with Tony Willians, Elvin Jones, Jim Chapin, Garry Chafee, David Garibaldi, Steve Smith, Dennys Chambers, among others. Dino is the author of 10 methods for teaching drums and the creator of the Bateras 100% Brazil Project (Drummers Orchestra) that joined the Guinness Book in 2019 and has over 20 years of experience with dozens of performances in Brazil and Italy. He recorded more than 20 albums in the course of his career, 2 albums by the EMI label with his band called Alma Djem and recorded his first solo album in 2020. He currently plays with ANDROIDS, Black Beatles Band, Brisa Trio and with artists Jorge Marciano and Giba Estebez, in addition to their project Bateras 100% Brazil.
