Biography
Daniel Schwenger fing mit 10 Jahren an Schlagzeug zu spielen. Er studierte ab 2004 am Drummer`s Focus Stuttgart bei Andy Witte und 2007 bei Jost Nickel und Prof. Curt Cress am Kontaktstudiengang Popularmusik in Hamburg. Seitdem arbeitet Daniel als Freelancer überwiegend in der christlichen Musikszene und spielte u.a. mit Christoph Zehendner, Deborah Rosenkranz, Sefora Nelson, Andreas Malessa, Katja Zimmermann, Andreas Volz und Normal Generation. Außerdem spielt Daniel in vielen Produktionen von Richard Geppert (Musical Human Pacific) u.a. mit Karl Frierson (De Phazz), David Michael Johnson, Darius Merstein, Vindonissa Singers (Schweiz), Callia Blu (Schweiz), Diamond Souls, David Morell und Claus Eisenmann. Zudem ist er sehr aktiv in der Gospelszene mit Chören (Chorlight, Chocolate), Gospel Formationen (the Union) und Gospel-Sängern (Theresa Burnette, Butch Williams, Kirk Smith, Calvin Bridges, Tore W. Aas). 2004 gründete Daniel die Schlagzeug- und Percussionschule funky beat in Plüderhausen (Großraum Stuttgart) und bringt mit viel Begeisterung Kindern und Erwachsenen das Trommeln bei.
