„In 1983, I sold my enormous baseball card collection to gain enough money to buy my first Paiste cymbal. It was a 16" 2002 crash and it sounded crisp, bright, and amazing! I thought I needed this cymbal because all of my heroes had the same- Bonham, Bruford, and a fantastic local drummer named Guy Gelso. After my first crash on that 16", there was no going back. I've been addicted to the sound ever since. My heroes were right; these were and are still the best sounding cymbals in the world.“

Biography

Bob D'Amico is a native New Yorker that uses the smorgasbord of classic NYC sounds in his drumming. Salsa, downtown jazz, early hip-hop, marching band drumming, punk/hardcore, and classic rock can all be heard in his playing. Most recently he has been recording and touring with indie rock icons, Sebadoh. And soon, back with the musical whirlwind known as The Fiery Furnaces, who will be reuniting with new music and new recordings in 2021. Bob has worked with other artists such as Lou Reed, Saqqara Mastabas, Jason Loewenstein Band, and his own solo project called No Chief, which features Petra Haden on vocals.
