Biography

Arno Troxler wurde am 27.09.1979 in Willisau geboren. Mit ungefähr 5 Jahren beginnt er Schlagzeug zu spielen. Nebst dem Aufwachsen mit dem Jazz Festival Willisau spielt er in Rock Bands. Er studierte von 2003 bis 2007 an der Jazz Schule Luzern bei Fabian Kuratli, Norbert Pfammatter, Dominik Burkhalter, Fredy Studer, Pierre Favre und Marc Halbheer. Er spielt oder spielte mit Feigenwinter 3, Acoustic Strings (Dominique Pifarely, Christy Doran, Heiri Känzig), Coal, Guy Vincent, Heidi Happy, The Sad Riders, Bruno Spörri, Yvonne Moore, King Pepe & Le Rex, The Knocked out Rhythms, Monotales, Julian Sartorius Drum Ensemble, Gaby Krapf, Fai Baba, Matt Callahan Betreibt seit 2008 die Vintage Drum Station in Willisau und leitet seit 2010 das Jazz Festival Willisau

Broad silvery, wooden stick sound over a highly complex, deep, exotic wash. Low, smoky, dark crash. Lively cymbal for soft, sizzling ride patterns in lower volume styles. Also well suited for mystical mallet swells.
