Known by his versatility, Andrés has made himself a name in the regional scene, having performed performing with modern electronic latin-american artists Mateo Kingman and Nicola Cruz, collaborated with solo music for japanese video artist Motomichi and performed with some of ecuadorian folklore legends. He is currently working alongside Baroness’s bassist Nick Jost on their own experimental duo project Forgotten Arm. An active session player, Andrés has countless appearances for Metal, Indie and Pop acts.

Sound character: A fusion of darkness, energy, projection and brilliance. Very wide range, complex, musical mix. Responsive feel, extremely controllable. Woody, silvery, spanky ping over crunchy, thriving wash. Extremely versatile, flexible ride for wide ranging application in modern blended music styles. Mark II: Tends to be a bit livelier and brighter. This manifests itself in the overall sound character and in particular in the bell and ping sound. Mark II also has a bit more volume potential due to its more open character.

Sound character: Medium bright, full, warm, brilliant. Wide range, fairly complex mix. Fast, responsive feel. Full, bright, energetic open sound. Sharp, full chick sound. The original, once patented, wavy bottom hi-hat design. The 17" version adds extraordinary boost, low end and crisp projection.
