Biography

Aaron Weaver is best known as the drummer for American Black Metal band Wolves in the Throne Room. He developed his unique and primal drumming style in the underground world of drunken basement shows, crusty punk squats and in the outdoors where the PA systems couldn’t be counted on to provide very much support. Consequently he developed a hard hitting, organic and swinging style that places groove, feeling and heart above all else. Aaron founded Wolves in the Throne Room with his brother Nathan Weaver in 2002. Since that time, the band has risen up to become one of the most respected and influential groups in Extreme Music. Their most recent album Thrice Woven received high praise from fans and press alike and the band received the 2018 Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for Best Underground Band.
