Big Sounds for a Big Series

Following the current trend for bigger, warmer, but yet pure sounding cymbals, Paiste expands the legendary Formula 602 series with three new models.
All three models were re-launched in close co-operation with Vinnie Colaiuta , one of the most influential drummers of our time, who tested the cymbals in the studio and on stage. Vinnie currently plays these new models while touring with Sting.
Like the 14" size, the 15" Medium Hi-Hat is soft in feel and finesse but they possess a slightly more rich and low-end tone which increases their versatility.
The 24" Medium Ride provides a wide array of deep complex frequencies and more overall volume. While retaining its controllability, the initial stick attack releases silvery highs and its rich and warm wash make this cymbal very crashable.
Completing the existing crash trio (16"/18"/20"), the 22" Thin Crash offers additional accent power that enables a drummer to achieve the characteristic Formula 602 sound on bigger stages as well as medium-loud volume settings. Due to its extremely sensitive response, this crash can also be used for subtle ride patterns.
Formula 602s are entirely made by hand from the originally used CuSn20 bronze in Switzerland using traditional methods that have remained unchanged in over half a century.
