backIn Memoriam: Clive Burr
It is with sincere regret that we announce the passing of Paiste artist Clive Burr. The former (and first) drummer in Iron Maiden passed away at his home last night (March 12, 2013) at the age of 56. Burr had been suffering with Multiple Sclerosis.
Clive Burr joined Iron Maiden in 1979 and performed on the first three albums: Iron Maiden (1980), Killers (1981) and The Number Of The Beast (1982). Prior to joining Maiden, he was a member of Samson, the band that Bruce Dickinson fronted before he too joined Iron Maiden.
