Based in USA, Bjarne Jannik Kjaer is originally from Denmark where he earned his Masters in music from the Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen as a drummer/percussionist. He has recorded with artists such as Grammy-winner VICTOR WOOTEN and Hollywood RockWalk of Fame artist TIM BOGERT as well on recordings featuring ToTo musician & Grammy winner DAVID PAICH. He has also recorded movie & television jingles/soundtracks in Europe, South America and in USA for networks like ABC television production music library, as well as in Japan with David Pastorius band, where he is a recording artist on Tokyo based label P-Vine records. He has performed on many television shows in Scandinavia and in USA on prime-time shows like "Extreme Make-Over"on ABC television, recently he was also featured on two latin-American show episodes of "Como en Casa" on RCN television network (broadcasted in 27 countries). He has opened up for major bands like THE POLICE and THE BEACH BOYS and performed shows for companies such as: Walt Disney World & Universal Studios, Sea World, Silver Dollar City (Branson), Harras Casino (Atlantic City), "Legend in Concert" (Casino shows) as well played many production shows for several cruise lines and many tours performing as a guest entertainer with Regent Seven Seas & Crystal Cruises (worlds #1 luxury cruise company / Conde Nast Traveler Magazine).
He has also performed shows at countless high-end corporate events for many Fortune 500 companies (feat. speakers such as president Bill Clinton & Steve Forbes) and entertained at the televised 2001 NFL player of the year awards & 2001 SUPER BOWL pre & post game shows in Tampa for Ford corporation. He received scholarship to Grove School of Music in CA. and recorded/performed in Los Angeles backing up rock artists at Hollywood famed clubs like The Roxie Theatre & The Whiskey. After working several years for cruise companies (Princess Cruises incl. the televised vessel from "The Love Boat" & Holland- America Line), he continued working in Florida with among others singer Sisaundra Lewis (and with the family of the late great Jaco Pastorius) recording with singer Mary Pastorius (Jaco's daughter) and many studio sessions with bassist David Pastorius for various artists including singers Billy Lee (The Platters) & Patrick Gibson. In "The sunshine state" he also has shared stage/opened up for many international reggae acts such as: UB40, Rita Marley, Stephen Marley, Damian Marley, Inner Circle, Yellow Man, Wayne Wonder, The Wailers (Bob Marley), & Maxi Priest. His Main instrument is the Drumset, additionally he plays SteelPan, Piano, Percussion (endorsed by Gon Bops) and active with songwriting & production. With his newly started Online- Drum-Studio recording-sessions has expanded over many borders working now with producers in Nashville, LA, NYC, Miami, Berlin, London, Copenhagen and even Bucharest, when he recently recorded with Romanian singer Lulian Canaf (of Romanias "The Voice" television show) as well in Bogota where he is regularly records soundtracks with FOX Latin television music producer Camilo Vega (composer of "El Capo" tv-series) including recently tracking a song by 2 time latin Grammy winner Alex Cuba written for an upcoming artist of Colombia. His musical background in Denmark started when playing drums at age 10 taught by Brazilian drummer Luiz Chuim de Sigueira in Copenhagen. A few years later, he starred as a "drumming" child actor in national DR television-series in Denmark (and later hosted a daily youth radio show/P3 broadcasted nationwide). When joining upcoming "Teenagers" band in Denmark he was signed to a record label at age 13 and released three records with American producer BILLY CROSS (known from Bob Dylan, Bonnie Tyler). He received Pearl drums endorsement and performed on numerous Scandinavian television shows, toured rock festivals and in concert opened up for international acts like The Police, Kim Wilde, Steel Pulse.
When starting at Royal Academy of Music, he performed with symphony orchestras conducted by Jorma Panula and studied with professor Bent Lylloff (classical percussion). He also studied with Kasper Winding, Ed Thigpen, Alex Riel and later Marvin Smitty Smith (Jay Leno show) during a study abroad program at Drummers Collective in NYC. He worked as freelance drummer in Denmark with the bands like TIVOLI Gardens BigBand, Kansas City Stompers and Max Leth Jazz Quartet. Studio sessions & live shows with Scandinavian performers including Lise Haarvik, Trine Dyrholm, Lonnie Devantier (3 singers from European Song Contest), Uffe Savery & Morten Friis (SAFRIDUO percussionists), Mona Larsen, Maria Carmen Koppel, Yasmin, Mikkel Nordso Trio, Moussa Dialo band, Roy Richards, saxophonist Michael Lington as well as pop producers John Hatting & Tommy Seebach and several tours in Europe with RENATO PAGLIARI (Rene & Renato Europe #1 hit: “Save Your Love").
