Biography

Aisha Gaillard’s early passion for music led her to the World Stage in Leimert Park, where she learned to play the drums under the guidance of the late legendary Jazz drummer Billy Higgins at the tender age of 3. As her talents grew Aisha began to play for various churches, and the acclaimed jazz and marching band at her high school, George Washington Prep. In 2017, Aisha earned her B.A. degree in Hospitality Management from California State University Long Beach, with the plans of owning her own supper club later in her career. In the meantime, Aisha’s artistic ability and study of music has afforded her the opportunity to play various genres of music, in collaboration with an impressive array of artists and venues such as: “ELCA” Christian Youth Gathering conference in Houston, Texas, Dakar Goree Jazz festival in Senegal, West Africa, NPR’s Tiny Desk with singer/songwriter Mereba, Rapper Yo Gotti, and is also the touring drummer for R&B artist UMI.
