Kati Fernandes, a native of Caracas, Venezuela. She began her musical studies at the age of 10 years at the Conservatory of Music Lino Gallardo, studying music theory, Choral Singing and Classical Guitar 1 and 2. Her early years devoted to music elapse between the school choir Our Lady of Fatima, where she stood out as one of the soloists, and she was the winner of several awards. At the age of 13 years enters the popular percussion workshop House of Culture of Chacao, taught by Professor Neville Pichi Ainslie (Billos Caracas Boys, Maelo Ruiz, Caribbean Rhythm Orchestra of Montreal, among others) who would be his mentor and teacher for four years. There would attend elementary and advanced rhythms on congas, timbales and bongos. Evolution in the congas plus rudiments and modern technique timbale and bongo. She also belonged to the orchestra of the House of Culture, who presented themselves at the various events and workshops organized mayor of Chacao throughout the municipality, and where she took his first steps as a performer of percussion.
At the age of 15 years she begins to form part of the Samba group of Ateneo de Chacao, who cheered carnivals and festivals of the town. She also entered the ranks of female orchestra Latin Pop Girls, by pianist Jennifer Leon. There she served as conguera, making several presentations at various events, public and private.
Now she is living in the city of Miami, where she is currently part of the Cupid band as a multi-percussionist for the television program Enamorandonos, of the Univision network, in addition to collaborating as a percussionist and drummer for artists such as Natti Natasha, Beth Malone, Frank Quintero, DOYO by Juniors Entertainment, Oscarcito, among others.
