Arkansas City, Kansas native, Michael Sturd, is a touring drummer by trade but his skills as a back-up vocalist, pianist and experience in backing tracks make him a triple threat in the music industry. Michael moved to Nashville in 2012 after graduating with a Bachelor of Music Performance Degree from Kansas State University.

Michael has worked with/toured for a variety of artists, bands and songwriters including, RaeLynn, Ashley Campbell, Trent Harmon, Taylor Phelan, The Roosevelts, Ryan Beaver, Remedy Drive, Jameson Rodgers and many more.

Michael is currently on tour as a full time drummer with Broken Bow Recording artist, Lindsay Ell on the Brad Paisley “Weekend Warrior World Tour.” When not on the road with Lindsay, you can catch him performing with other acts, such as Warner Music artist, The Railers and independent recording artist, Ryan Griffin.

Michael applies his musical influences of classic rock and pop drumming to his gigs which gives him a unique, stand out style in the country market. Michael calls Nashville, TN home and tours throughout the country.
