Chad Melchert is one of Canada’s most sought after live and session drummers. While calling the Edmonton area home he has toured all over the world and played with artists of all genres. Chad was crowned CCMA (Canadian Country Music Awards) Drummer of the Year in 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016. With grooves being his specialty Korg international hired Chad to do loops for the Stageman 80 (http://www.korg.com/us/products/amplifiers/stageman_80/). A top call session musician Chad currently also fills his schedule with teaching and drumming for 25 time award winner CCMA Country Male Vocalist of the Year Gord Bamford.

Having recorded and performed with the likes of Adam Gregory, Brett Kissel, Duane Steele, Chad Brownlee, Aaron Pritchett, Paul Brandt, High Valley and countless more, you have probably seen him on a stage or in a studio somewhere.

Chad believes in teaching how to be a functional drummer in a band setting. Focusing on the tools the student needs to have success and in turn find the passion to make music part of one’s life is Chad’s goal.
