Nicky Loman is a professional drummer based in Rotterdam and Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He began playing drums as a child after being blown away by the power and sound of Queen drummer Roger Taylor. He received his first full drum kit from his father at the age of 10.

After attending the Havo voor Muziek en Dans (a high school for music and dance students), Loman started studying drums at the conservatory Codarts University of the Arts, where he graduated cum laude in 2011. During his last study year, he auditioned for Stephan Geusebroek’s New Amsterdam Orchestra. An orchestra with an occupancy of 4 to 100 people. The New Amsterdam Orchestra was the start of his professional music career. Playing all styles of music with various professional instrumentalists and the biggest Dutch and Belgium artists, week in week out.

Beside playing with the New Amsterdam Orchestra, Loman went on to work with a long list of notable rock and pop artists, including Bobby Kimball (TOTO), Chance Howard (Prince, The Time), Leo Sayer, Julian Velard, Kumar Sanu, Conchita Wurst, Tara McDonald, Belle Perez, Natalia, Alain Clark, Anita Meyer, Frank Boeijen, Glennis Grace, Guus Meeuwis, Ilse DeLange, Janine Janssen, Loïs Lane, Marcel Veenendaal (Di-rect), OG3NE, Rene Froger, Trijntje Oosterhuis, Xander de Buisonjé and Waylon.

Loman went on to work with singer Mr. Probz after they recorded the song "Waves" in 2013. "Waves" became a world wide number 1 hit upon being remixed by German DJ and record producer Robin Schulz.

In 2014, Loman successfully auditioned for the drum spot in Candy Dulfer’s Funky Stuff touring band. Dutch saxophonist Candy Dulfer, who rose to fame with her high profile collaborations with Dave Stewart (the worldwide number 1 smash "Lily was here"), and of course the legendary Prince, whose tongue-in-cheek recommendation (“When I want sax, I call Candy”) in the Partyman video, made the world sit up and notice the young and glamorous sax player at his side. In June 2015 Nicky participated Candy’s world tour in support of her upcoming album "Together".

More recently, Loman is recording with his band Van Brogh, and has most recently toured with Mr. Probz and Candy Dulfer in Europe, Asia and North America.
