Biography


Nick Adams' love for music began at an early age, and grew until he bought his first drum set at the age of 14. He gigged with various bands in his home town of San Diego for a few years, before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a full time career in music. He attended the Percussion Institute of Technology at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, where he earned his degree in drum set performance. Upon graduating, he was also the recipient of the esteemed Outstanding Player Award for which his picture appeared in the September 2009 issue of Modern Drummer Magazine.

As a session player, Nick has recorded for such notable producers as Jay Baumgardner (Seether, Drowning Pool, Papa Roach), Damon Sharpe (Big Time Rush, Kylie Minogue), Kevin DeClue (Hilary Duff), JP Bowersock (The Strokes), and others. He has appeared on dozens of recordings including former Columbia Records artist, Andre Cymone's latest solo album. As a live drummer, Nick has been fortunate to tour nationally and internationally with multiple platinum selling/major label artists including 78Violet (Aly and AJ) and X-Factor season two finalists Fifth Harmony. Nick has opened for such music giants as Stevie Wonder, Bon Jovi, Paramore, Lil Kim, and Karmin, and has performed on multiple national television shows. He is the current touring drummer for platinum selling rock artist, and season 7 American Idol winner David Cook with whom he has appeared on American Idol. Through David, Nick has also been able to perform with Philippines superstar Yeng Constantino, and Indonesian Idol winner Regina Ivanova. Nick is currently touring with David Cook.
