Emilio Garcia was born in Mexico city and started playing drums at an early age. He started taking drum and guitar lessons at 11 and started playing local gigs at 15 in Aguascalientes City. He attended P.I.T. and took private lessons with the late Richard Wilson (r.i.p.) and Michael Barsimanto in Los Angeles, Ca.

He’s been touring in the U.S., Mexico, Europe, South and Central America with the great Mexican singer Marco Antonio Solis since 1996, and recorded 2 albums: Marco, Live in Puerto Rico, and Live in Madrid (released in summer 2008).

Emilio is the current director of the Drums and Percussion department at “Centro Cultural Mexico Contemporaneo” where he teaches in Aguascalientes, Mexico, and performs in local gigs and side projects.

Emilio also endorses DW Drums, Evans Drumheads, and Vic Firth Drum sticks.
