Scott Williams is a gifted percussionist hailing from one of the most musical cities on the planet earth: Detroit, Michigan, USA! As a child of the 1960's and the 1970's Scott was formally trained in percussion from the finest traditions in percussion education. Namely, noted Detroit Jazz drummer Gene Stewart and later with long-time Detroit Symphony Orchestra Principal Percussionist, Robert C. Pangborn. Mr. Williams attended the Indiana University Conservatory of Music where he studied with Mr. George Gaber (Chairman of Percussion at Indiana University Conservatory of Music), William Roberts (Denver Symphony Orchestra), and Mr. Gerald Carlyss (Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra). After spending two years at Oakland University (in Auburn Hills, MI) and honing his skills for five years at The Indiana University Conservatory of Music, Mr. Williams returned to his native Detroit, MI to pursue his music career.

Since then he has performed with The Flint Symphony Orchestra, The Saginaw Symphony Orchestra, The Michigan Opera Theater, and Macomb Symphony Orchestras, to name a few. In addition to Mr. Williams' busy orchestral schedule, Scott is an extremely busy drummer performing with a myriad of projects around the country. Scott is the drummer for the extremely busy Tree Company as well as The Euphorians. Mr. Williams travels extensively with The Euphorians as they are booked months in advance as one of the busiest ensembles in the Midwest.

As for his sound, Mr. Williams states, "I am extremely particular about my sound and the instruments that I employ to create and embellish that sound. Paiste Cymbals have always possessed the tonal beauty and consistency that I absolutely must have to create my art. Paiste® is the only cymbal for me!"
