Biography

Toby is a drummer/percussionist who has established a significant career in pop, theatre and the studio. He has studied under various teachers, notably by invitation with renowned drummer and educator Billy Ward in New York.

He has held both Percussion and Drum chairs on the West End Take That show ‘Never Forget’.

As a drummer he has toured with Kid Creole and the Coconuts and through his work on percussion with Bill Wyman’s all-star band ‘The Rhythm Kings’, he has performed with artists including Robin Gibb, Paul Carrack, Beverly Knight and The Faces.

Recording credits include the critically acclaimed Yeah You’s début, ‘Looking Through You’. At his own studio he records everything from TV jingles to tracks for production house Xenomania. Currently he is recording at Air Lyndhurst for Yamit Mamo’s forthcoming album and working with producer Tim Deal. Toby is now a member of the teaching faculty at The Institute Of Contemporary Music Performance (www.icmp.co.uk).
