Biography

Dan Bourke began touring full time at the age of 16. Now almost ten years later at the age of 25 he has plenty of hardcore, punk rock, and drum cred under his belt. Being the original drummer of Long Island hardcore band "This is Hell" he recorded multiple records and toured worldwide for 5 years. In that same time frame he also played in and recorded with the band "Soldiers", also from Long Island and he also continues to play with them to this day. Bourke's main gig is with Alternative Hardcore band "Stray From the Path" which heís played in from early 2009 to present day.

Bourke's hard hitting, yet groovy and funky style seems to always set his drumming apart from other drummers in his genre. It has also given him a more distinguishable sound. Bourke explains "my father is a drummer so I grew with him playing along with and listening to a lot of Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan, Parliament, Sly & the Family Stone, some real funk stuff, and Iíve always tried to incorporate that into my playing, whether itís the beat Iím playing, or just the funky face I make while Iím playing."
