Matthias “Matete” Krautli is a drummer, songwriter and music producer from Switzerland, and he loves playing music…especially playing drums very loud (or very soft) on huge stages (or very small ones) in front of 1'000'000 people (or 10). He doesn't mind travelling millions of miles with cheap airlines (or very expensive ones), catching athlete's foot in cheap hotels (or suites), hanging around in recording studios (as long there's WiFi-Access) and smelly rehearsal rooms (as long as there's a fridge with some cool beers in it) for a hilariously small (or a ridiculously big) amount of money. So don't be afraid to contact Matete if you need some good sounding drums or a song for your grandmother’s birthday.

Matete received a scholarship at Drummer’s Collective in New York, attended Hochschule für Musik und Theater at Hamburg and Hochschule der Künste in Zürich. He holds a degree in cultural management and won 1st place of the Swiss Drummers Championship in 2004 by playing "Think" from the "Blues Brothers" soundtrack.

Matete participates in an average of about 100 gigs every year and he’s thankful for the experience of touring around the globe, (Switzerland, Germany, Austria, U.K., Italy, U.S.A, China) with great friends and musicians such as Adrian Stern, Pixie Paris, My Name Is George, Annakin, Terry Lynn, William White, Caracho, Mykungfu, Admiral James T., Plankton, Cheekbones to name just a few.

In 2006, MY NAME IS GEORGE won the DRS3-Award for "Best Young Swiss Band" and toured the U.K. including the famous Beatles-headquarters "The Cavern" in Liverpool. Matete is also writing songs for other artists and playing musical shows such as Grease, Hairspray, Fame, Cinderella, and many more.
