Biography


Jorge began playing drums at the age of 15. He started out playing in music school contests while practicing to Metallica, Guns and Roses, and Nirvana songs…practicing whenever possible. Jorge bought his first drum kit in 1995 and began taking drum lessons with different local teachers.

Jorge entered the University of Guadalajara Music School in 1997 and played in a variety of bands of different styles. Jorge finished his musical education in 2000 to dedicate all of his time to the alternative band: "Pito Perez". They won a nationwide contest sponsored by Hard rock Cafe called "Hard Rock Stage" which paved the way for their first signed contract with Warner bros. resulting in their first album “Con mas Poder” in June of 2002.

Pito Perez toured Mexico and South America with bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mana, Kinky, Jaguares, and El Tri. In February/April of 2004, Pito Perez recoreded their second album with producer and drummer of the Latin-Rock Band "Mana": Alex Gonzalez. The album "Tal y Cual" was released in September of 2004 with Warner Bros. Music. They toured in the USA, Mexico and South America with bands like Cafe Tacuba, Greenday and Simple Plan and did a Pepsi Tour called "Play Rush".

In December of 2006 Jorge started to play with Clondementto, currently making of a new Clondementto’s album with "Discos Intoleracia" a record label from Mexico City.
