Gongs were among the first musical instruments to be made and played by humans. Often associated with the music and rituals of the Far East, this instrument has been liberated by PAISTE from limitations of the more restrained and diffuse sounding gongs coming from their Asian countries of origin.
The earliest known expressions of the gong are believed to have come from China during the sixth century, and in Java (now Indonesia) about the eighth century. Read more.
