Biography

Benedicte Pierleoni was born in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1994. She started playing the drums at the age of 7, and since then also learned multiple other instruments and started writing her own songs since 2009. In 2010 Pierleoni formed the band Baby In Vain together with two guitarists/singers. The band has been touring all over Europe and USA amongst others as opening act for The Kills and A Place To Bury Strangers. They released their debut album in 2017 on american label Partisan Records and their second album on danish grounds with Escho in 2020. Pierleoni also released her solo project debut EP in 2017 and in 2018 she joined the post-punk duo Mavourneen. In 2020 she started playing drums for the danish/faroese indie-rock singer Brimheim that is releasing her debut album in 2022. Other than playing, touring and recording with three different bands plus her solo project Pierleoni is now attending the Rythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen.
